He’s watching

He’s watching.  No…not Santa.  He’s too busy making list and visiting with kids.  I’m talking about Santa’s little helper, the elf.  He  keeps an eye on children to see if they are bad or good.  I am going to be good.  What about you?

Shopping?

November 23rd, 2009

cjkidzsis-friend

Shopping, what’s the big deal?  All the girls in my class want to do is go shopping.  Shopping for clothes, shopping for earrings, shopping, shopping, shopping!  They’re only getting all that stuff to look good for boys.  What a waste of time.   The only reason I go into a store is to get a good book or science stuff.  But why go into a store?  Do it on the computer.  Here’s the stuff I like http://astore.amazon.com/wwwcjkidzcom-20?%5Fencoding=UTF8&node=4

Thank you, thank you, thank you!

We are learning about Thanksgiving at school and talking about what we are grateful for.  When it was my turn to answer….I wasn’t sure what to say.  There are so many things.  My friends, Santa Claus, presents, my new shoes, my dog.  Finally, I gave an answer.  The whole class agreed with my answer.  I said that I was grateful that we didn’t have homework yesterday!  Miss Alexis, my teacher,  just smiled.

Yuk! Germs!

YuK!  Germs are disgusting.  They are everywhere.  You can’t see them, but they are there.  Sis and I have been studying them in class.  Our teacher says that  if you wash your hands, it will help so you don’t spread them.  Germs are creepy!  Here are some books if you want to read about them.   http://astore.amazon.com/wwwcjkidzcom3-20?node=35&page=1

Halloween Books

October 15th, 2009

I helped Di-Di babysit sweet baby Tina.  Wait, I shouldn’t say I HELPED Di-Di babysit sweet baby Tina.  I should have said I BABYSAT sweet baby Tina.  Di-Di was on the phone (as usual) with her BFF.  I like babysitting so it doesn’t matter, but Di-Di takes most of the money and only gives me a little.  Big Sisters (ugh).

Anyways…..Sweet Baby Tina was such an angel.  She sat on my lap as I read her some of my Halloween books.  She loves me to read to her.

If you like to read like me, see some of my favorite  Halloween books http://astore.amazon.com/cjkidzfunactivities-20?_encoding=UTF8&node=67      Tina liked them as much as I did.

Scared?

Spider thinks he is so funny.  Just because it’s getting close to Halloween, he keeps trying to scare me.  Does he think I am really afraid?   No!   He keeps hiding behind furniture in the house and jumping out at me.  When I ‘am laying in bed at night he stands outside my door making scary noises or voices.  I just get out of bed and chase him away.  He laughs and runs down the hall.  The next thing you know, I hear JanBannan or Margaret scream.  I guess they haven’t caught on to Spider’s Halloween tricks.

Jack:  Ain’t happening this year!  We’re NOT dressing alike for Halloween.

Jake: We could be a baseball pitcher and catcher

Jack: Nope, I’m gonna be an astronaut and you’re NOT!

Jake: I said I wanted to be an astronaut!

Jack: You better find another costume.  I called the astronaut costume!

Jake:  I’m telling mom that you’re being mean.

Jack:  You better not!  Get back here  ………Whack!

Winning Goal at Soccerfest!

September 25th, 2009

Uh huh, Uh huh, Uh huh!  We did it!  We won the soccer game!  Who got the winning soccer goal you ask?  Without bragging too much…..I’ll  just say…. you’re looking at him.  Me!  I got the winning soccer goal.

What a day.  It was a close game…..came down to the last few seconds….and I pulled it off.   Luckily Sis had her camera and got a picture of me kicking it in and everyone on my team jumping up up and down!  I’m going to frame it.

Di-Di said I’m going to get a big head if I don’t quit bragging about it.  I say, I got bragging rights.  I practiced all week…I deserve to brag a little!

I’m headed back to Soccerfest to watch the other games and soak the coach.  See you there.

The bullying stops here.

I am very glad Margaret told me about a boy in my class who was teasing her.  I asked the boy to stay after class and have a “talk”.   He knows I will be watching him like a hawk.  I am also having a special class discussing  bullying and how we  should to treat our classmates.  You can see some of the books we will be reading together.  http://astore.amazon.com/wwwcjkidzcom3-20?%5Fencoding=UTF8&node=8   Maybe you would like to read them too?

What a bully!

September 15th, 2009

I hate bullies!  Why do they do it?  There is a kid in my class, I think he is a bully.  He calls me a Chatterbox, makes fun of my freckles, and teases other kids in my class too.  I told the teacher on him.  He didn’t like that!  Too bad.  I’m not letting him get away with it.  My teacher is watching him now.  Too bad….so sad.

The big fight

How did one little thing turn into such a big argument?  Loops, JanBannan and me were walking home from school together.  We were talking about what we were going to do after school.  JanBannan said she wanted to take Pepper for a walk.  I said we just did that the other day.  JanBannan said it has been over a week ago since we took Pepper for a walk.  Loops said she thought it was a good idea to walk Pepper and she would walk with JanBannan.  Then JanBannan starting saying that she didn’t think I liked Pepper.  What?  I thought.  I love Pepper.  I just didn’t want to take her for a walk today. I ran in gym class today and I didn’t feel like walking.   JanBannan and Loops accused me of only wanting to go for walks when it is my dog!  The next thing I know, they both got mad at me and left.  Later, I looked out my window and they were both taking Pepper for a walk right past my house.  I felt left out.  I heard them laughing and whispering as they walked past my house.  Girls can be mean sometimes.  I am not going to hang out with them if they are going to be mean to me!

Homework the first day of school?

August 18th, 2009

didi2

We had to go back to school today.  I was ready.  I wanted to see my friends.  I saw some of them over the summer, but not all of them.  Wow….some kids really look different.  Brittany’s hair got really long.  Jack got even cuter than last year.  Ginger must  have eaten a few too many burgers over the summer (lol).

I don’t think I am going to like my teacher.  I got homework already!  What is wrong with her?  Give me a break.   She’s new to our school.  She better not load us up on homework, otherwise, I am not going to  like her very much.

Back to School Budget

August 1st, 2009

Dear Diary:

I am mad.  Mom took me shopping today and I saw a new backpack that I wanted.  It was awesome!  Mom said we couldn’t buy it.  She said we could only get  the things on her list.  “Why” I asked.  Mom said “Because”.  “Because why?” I asked.  She said “Because we have to stay on a budget”.  “Budget, what’s a budget?” I said.  Mom said she would explain to me in the car on the ride home.  I didn’t know what a budget was…but I already knew I didn’t like it.

On the way home, mom explained a budget.  She said that you have to take the money you earn and set aside  a certain amount to pay bills (like our house, our food, car, telephone).  We also have to save some of the money (for emergencies or  college or a wedding).  What is left after that  is for the “extra things” that  you might not need, but what you want (like a vacation or new clothes or new backpack).  I said “good, how much extra money do we have left?” (I didn’t tell her, but I was thinking we could buy the backpack).  Mom said “not much” and she laughed!  I don’t like budgets.

Margaret’s In Trouble

July 20th, 2009

Dear Diary:

OMG!  Margaret’s in trouble!  On the way home from school, Margaret told me a secret.  But she said that I couldn’t tell anyone.  I promised I wouldn’t!  She got an “F” on her test today.  I asked her what happened?  She said the teacher put the questions for the test on the chalkboard.  Margaret sits in the back of the classroom.  Since she hasn’t been wearing her new glasses at school (like mom told her to do!), she couldn’t see the questions on the chalkboard and guessed at the answers.  How is she going to explain this to mom?  I don’t want to be around when Margaret tells her about the “F”.  I think tonight will be a good night to take Pepper for a long walk outside.  Poor Margaret.  She is going to be in BIG TROUBLE!

My friend’s gift

Went to the mall today with some friends.  Got some awesome clothes and some stuff to make my friend a birthday present.  Her party is this weekend.  Whenever I am with her we are always giggling and laughing (so hard my stomach hurts sometimes!).  She is funny.  I made this frame for her.  I am going to insert a picture of me and her hanging out and laughing.

Saving My Pennies

June 28th, 2009

spiderface-115x133

safeLook what dad gave me!  He said since I did such a good job of saving my pennies, he thought I needed something special to put the dollar bills in!  This is awesome.  It has a lock on it!  Now I can be sure the girls don’t steel my pennies!  If you want one like this, I show it under my favorite things or click here http://astore.amazon.com/wwwcjkidzcom-20?node=5&page=14    I ’ve been walking the neighbor’s dog and cutting grass all summer to earn money.  I’m going to put my money in the safe and see how much I have at the end of  the summer.  Mom said before I spend any of it, I need to think about how hard I worked in the heat to cut grass and then ask if what I’am buying is worth my hard work and sweat.  For now, I’m saving it!

Hung out with JanBannan and Margaret today.  Summer just started and we are already starting to get bored.  We started a list of  things to do and we are going to add to it.

When we need an idea of something to do, we are going to look at our list.  We will let you know which activities we did or which activities we liked the best.  If you want to see our list …check it out at http://www.cjkidz.com/Summerfun.html

Medicine Yuk!

June 23rd, 2009

janbannanhead

Spider was sick yesterday.  He stayed home from school.  This morning, he said he felt better and wanted to go to school.  He had baseball practice tonight and I think he didn’t want to miss it.  Mom said that just because he felt better today, he needed to continue to take his medicine.  Spider threw a temper tantrum.  He said he hated the medicine.  He hates going to the doctor too!   He said wasn’t going to take it.  He said that it didn’t make any sense why he had to take it….he already felt better.  Mom’s eyes got really big when Spider was throwing a fit!  She said she couldn’t believe a big boy would make such a big deal about taking a little bit of medicine.  She said she did not like his behavior.  Mom doesn’t get mad at Spider very often; but she was really mad and thought he was acting silly.  I thought mom was right.  Spider was acting dumb.  Why would my big brother make such a big deal?  Take the dumb medicine, I thought.  It’s not that big of a deal.  Mom reminded him that if he didn’t take it, he wouldn’t completely get over his sickness and would get a relapse (whatever that is?).  The medicine had to be taken for a couple of days, she said.  I saw Spider take the pill, and when mom’s back was turned, he stuffed it into his pocket.  Mom would have been really mad if she knew.  Good thing Margaret wasn’t around.  She would have snitched.  But, guess what happened?  This afternoon, Mom got called to school to pick up Spider.  He got sick at school.  I guess it was that relapse thing mom was talking about.  Guess what else?  He missed baseball practice.  LOL!  I thought Spider was smart…but he didn’t act smart today!

Father’s Day

June 17th, 2009

cjkidzfamilyjanbannanblog5small

We are putting our heads together to come up with an awesome father’s day gift for dad.  He is the best dad and we want to get something that he will like.  Here are our ideas:

Di-Di -  I made a homemade picture frame for dad and I am going to put a picture of all of us in it.   He can put it on his nightstand or desk at work.

Sis - I want to get dad a Kindle so he can download books.  It’ a lot of money, so we would all have to agree and pitch in our money.

Spider - I want to get dad a tool.   Boys know better than girls what a dad wants!  I told the girls just to let me handle it.

Margaret - I want to get dad a book!  A really good book.  We would all be quiet and not bug him so he can read it.

JanBannan - I want to send dad a really cool ecard (they’re free!)   but also want to get him something really cool.  Can you help me pick something out?  http://www.cjkidz.com/Fathersday.html
